Susan Mann is based in Killay, Swansea. Originally from Falmouth, Cornwall, she made Wales her home in 1989 and now lives on the doorstep of Gower. Painting is a force which has driven her since the age of 12. Her motto is to create forever, her creativity extends to poetry, writing for children, adults and signwriting.

Her studies in Falmouth and Farnham focused on reconstruction from observation, the nature of character, landscape, and metaphor. Nowadays she paints all year on location at the mercy of animals, insects and the elements inventing equipment to suit, for example a bike-top easel. She makes all her own paint.

She has been involved in mural projects, worked in primary and secondary schools in the Cardiff area and since 2002 has received commissions and tutored on a private basis. Recently she has competed here, there, and everywhere in plein air competitions with a smattering of Media appearances. She has shown in Wales, Norfolk, Cornwall, and London with representation in South Wales.
