I graduated from what is now Manchester Metropolitan University U.K. with a B.A. (Hons.) in Woven Textiles with Fine Art as supporting study in 1976, and a Master of Arts in Textiles in 1977.
Throughout my working life I have been involved in many different creative fields. Following my degree courses, I worked at The Peterloo Art Gallery in Manchester, then lectured in Textile Design and Embroidery at Blackpool College of Art for four years. In 1982 I moved to Singapore, and lectured in Colour Theory and Graphics at The Nanyang Academy of Fine Art. I lived overseas for 34 years, and taught Art at varying levels of education in England, Singapore and France and have designed and run Creative Courses and Workshops for Adults and Children.
I have worked on Theatrical projects, designing, and making costumes, wigs, sets and props. I have exhibited my Textiles and Paintings internationally and have work in private collections worldwide. I have also written articles for ‘Embroidery’ magazine, and my creative designs have appeared in various publications, and on BBC Television. I returned to live in England in 2016.
