Valleys Re-told
This month we have Valleys Retold Exhibition here Queen Street Gallery from 6th to 27th April. There will be a meet the artists event on Saturday 13th April at 2pm so please come along!
20 Merthyr Artists have come together with the National museum of Wales to create a fantastic response to artwork documenting the South Wales Valleys. They have created an exhibition of over 50 fresh and vibrant artworks re telling the valleys story through their eyes. This is a unique interaction of old and new that is inspiring and reaches out to everyone. It just shows the depth of creative ability that can be found all around us and reveals the power that is unleashed when it comes together.

Diwydiant/Industry
We also have a Welsh industry themed exhibition on display in our other exhibition space in the Canterbury Lofts titled 'Diwydiant'.
The show features incredible artwork and photography themed around industry and urban areas, as well as information panels about David Thomas, father of the American Anthracite Iron Industry, provided by Neath Port Talbot Council as well as some amazing posters from the 1985/85 Miner's Strike kindly provided by South Wales Miners' Library.
