Carole Evans is largely self taught however she attended classes at the University of Wales under the guiding hand of inspirational teacher, Mike Freeman, whose influence is strongly evident in their work.

There is an immensely appealing, whimsical quality to her work, and a natural appreciation of colour and tone. She is unmistakably  a Welsh painter.
 

She was born in Neath in 1944 where she still lives and paints. She has exhibited widely throughout The Cotswolds, Wales and London.
